Angus Cloud, renowned for his role as Fezco in Euphoria, received his big break unexpectedly while working as a waiter in New York, scouted by a casting director.
Tragically, Angus Cloud’s death in July, discovered at his Oakland family home, was attributed to an accidental overdose. The coroner’s report revealed a lethal combination of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and benzodiazepines.
His mother, speaking on social media, emphasized that Angus did not intend to end his life. He had been discussing his future plans for himself and his family shortly before his passing. The family also highlighted his struggles with mental health, urging others not to suffer in silence.
In the weeks leading up to his death, Angus had been mourning his father’s loss to mesothelioma and had recently traveled to Ireland to lay him to rest.
Angus Cloud’s journey to fame began as he portrayed the role of Fezco, the drug dealer alongside Zendaya in the popular teen drama series Euphoria. He was initially scouted for this acting opportunity while working in a Brooklyn restaurant in New York.
Euphoria creator Sam Levinson expressed his grief, emphasizing Angus’s uniqueness, talent, and untimely departure. He acknowledged Angus’s struggles with addiction and depression, underscoring the impact he had on many lives and extending his condolences to the family.
